Day 1 box office collection for 'Brahmastra,' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. On Day 1, the film grossed approximately Rs 36 crore nett in India.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the film earned between Rs. 36.50 and Rs. 38.50 crores on its first day in the domestic market, making it the biggest non-holiday release. According to the trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com, Brahmastra grossed around Rs 35-36 crore in India.

The movie, which cost Rs 410 crore to produce, is the most expensive production ever in Hindi cinema. This record was previously held by the YRF film Thugs of Hindostan, which cost about Rs 310 crore to produce.
